On May 2nd you will first have to decide under which party you wish to vote - Democrat or Republican.
If you vote the Republican ticket, you will NOT vote for mayor, as all mayoral candidates in the primary are Democrats. The only ward that has more than one Republican on the primary ticket is Ward 4. Therefore, if you live in any ward other than Ward 4, you will vote for an unopposed candidate. Ward 3 has no Republican candidates and you will only be able to vote for an unopposed candidate for council-at-large.
Regardless of your chosen party affiliation, should you choose to vote in the Democratic Primary, you will be voting for Mayor, Council-at-Large, and Councilman (Wards 2, 3 & 4). Ward 1, 5 & 6 do not have Democratic candidates.
The Democratic Mayoral candidate will be decided on May 2nd. It will narrow the field down from four candidates overall to two. The winner of this primary will face one candidate for mayor in the general election on June 6th. Ward 3 council position will be decided on May 2nd. All other positions have to go to the general election on June 6th to be determined.
